Driving lesson on 23rd.. yea it’s late!
Well, It is a bit late but here goes.
My 5th driving lesson was pretty cool. I'm getting the hang of this all faster then I thought I would. My instructor says I should be ready to take and pass the theory soon
Friday just consisted of Driving around into Edmonton Green on the A10 up and down the hertford road and into Enfield. It was quite enjoyable. Not as eventful as the last lesson. This time I got a track record book to record all my lessons in so
Not much action here ...
Pastilles Networks changes…
Some people have asked when Pastilles Networks will release it's new site. I can confirm that a new site is in the works and we hope it will be released within 2 to 3 weeks.
Grival.net is working on the design and I would like to thank them for this
We still have a long way to go regarding software. We are going to set-up a new support/billing system. This all takes time to configure and test. We are working steadily and hope to release this soon.
A few things will disappear such as the company blog and the wiki. The staff are being trained as we work on the project and will continue to be after the changes are complete (including myself
).
With the new site clan hosting and web services will be launched out of beta. They will be released and stable.
Posted below are the exclusive current screen shots of what the new site looks like now. They are subject to change. Enjoy and let us know what you think!
Roma?! Beggars
Today was a bog standard day. Apart from being approached by two Roma women while I waited for the 279 (bus)
I suppose you can pretty much guess what happened next. Both women were begging me to swap my chain (round my neck) for some gold ring. Obviously annoyed because it's not the first time I have been confronted by these beggars. I told them to go away. Their persistence really irritated me. To the point I had to stand up as they were hovering in on me for about a minute. Eventually they walked off.
Excuse me while I rant a little
I don't mind their being people from other nations or even people begging. What I do mind is these people's persistence (always begging with their drugged up baby's
). They will throw water over your car's windscreen while you wait for the traffic lights to go green even when you asked them not to. To top it off these people seem to like thieving off the vulnerable (I wonder what it would have been luck had I been old! My friend saw them close in on someone once
Just the benefits of living in the EU. The UK is a great place for retards big and small to beg, lie, cheat and steal
In no way am I only isolating this group here. There are problems with all groups. However this particular group stand out. They don't want to find a job and work like anybody else. The polish workers have a brilliant reputation here. They work hard and are truthful (most).
Like I said I have no problems with people that want to genuinely come here and work but you can see some people really make a mockery of the UK
Yep, Well apart from that the day was standard. Got another assignment to do at college. Fun, Fun, treble fun

10 things mixedmatt hates about owning a webhost
Well, I was going to write about what I do at PN, but instead I am going to write about what I hate about owning Pastilles Networks! This is because I have just had a load of problems to deal with.
1.) Clients ask for help on MSN. MSN is my personal breakaway from anything Pastilles Networks related. However if a client raises something I am always happy to answer.
2.) Owners of other webhosts who think it's fine to abuse our staff acting as someone else in live chat.
3.) People who attack us for accepting Paypal only. We are a start-up host and are looking at other options!
4.) People who put the whole webhost and me down by making false claims.
5.) Server migrations!
6.) Getting software integrated
7.) Clients who sign-up and abuse the service by uploading pornography or warez.
8.) Expense
9.) Other people in the industry who report us for using illegal software (the vendors have confirmed we use legal software)
10.) Things that don't work
Interesting insight? Of course I love webhosting. These are just the very few niggles I hate. I love what I do most of the time.
More to come tomorrow
9/11 Conspiracy’s…
There are a lot of these floating around. Some quite well made up I must say. However a few were brought up on Let Politics Talk and I decided to post these here for others to make up their own minds.
Firstly I think these are made up by people with too much time on their hands. Probably the same people who thought the holocaust didn't happen, WW2 was initiated by a small group of Martians. You get the idea
I want to note I am not trying to offending anyone who has lost someone in the dreadful attacks. They were very nasty indeed.
I would like to know what goes through the conspirators mind. What purpose do these theories serve? We know governments lie. We know 9/11 and 7/7 both happened. They both cannot be reversed and were done by a nasty group of extremists. If this was done by a secret service (no government would be stupid enough to do such a thing
) What would be the purpose?
I would like to direct readers here. Notice how anonymous who claims they were demolished with explosives conveniently comes out with all this years after the attacks. Time to play with the videos perhaps? Or did they get paid to say that
I want the readers to make up their minds here. What does everyone think? I personally think these conspiracy's should be put to rest because what's happened has happened and nothing can change that. Also I find it offensive to the victims and their families that people keep pushing these theories.

Driving Lesson No.4
Well, I am getting better. The problem is getting to drive to the standards to pass my test.
Yeh, Well today was better then last week. I still need to smooth out my gear changes. However I did annoy a driver behind us (I don't really care because he was being a right impatient idiot when I stalled further up the road). We were at a mini roundabout and I kinda took my time pulling away
He obviously was in a hurry and decided to pull out into the right hand lane without looking in his mirrors. He then smashed into a Alfa Romeo that was coming down the lane. Right into the side of it. Clearly his impatience wasn't the only problem. He got out of his car and started banging on our windows shouting and swearing. My instructor just told me to carry on. Amazing what sort of people their are in this world eh?
There wasn't much to report from this lesson. I did take a long drive along the A10 and in Edmonton. I haven't killed anyone on the road... yet.
Enough time for that I suppose
Anyway this was my first Blog post. My next will be better I promise.
